We're continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our project delivery team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering major construction projects while working alongside site and project management teams committed to safety, quality, and excellence.

THE ROLE You'll be responsible for the engineering coordination and technical delivery of construction works on site, ensuring projects progress safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Documentation, coordinate technical trade packages, and support the broader project team in maintaining Decode's commitment to safety and excellence.

Coordinate and manage subcontractor trade packages, including procurement, scheduling, and technical queries.

Review construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation to ensure accurate and buildable outcomes.

Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and technical correspondence with consultants and design teams.

Support the Project Manager and Site Manager with programming, look-ahead planning,



and sequencing of works.

Monitor site progress against the construction program and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure works meet design and specification requirements.

Assist in managing project cost control, variations, and subcontractor claims.

Support a strong safety culture through leadership, communication, and compliance with WHS requirements.

Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and other technical consultants to resolve on-site issues. Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and reporting systems.

Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team.

Support the project team in achieving project milestones and delivery objectives. ABOUT YOU You're a proactive and detail-oriented engineer who enjoys solving problems and keeping projects moving. You bring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across safety, quality, and delivery.

You'll also bring

Proven experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, or similar role within the construction industry. Strong experience supporting the delivery of commercial, residential,



industrial, or mixed-use construction projects.

Sound knowledge of construction methodology, structures, and building systems. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.

Demonstrated experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple work fronts.

Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and WHS legislation.

Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
