As a Project Engineer in this this privately owned global leading manufacturer of high end valves, you will play a vital role in the planning, coordination, and execution of this company’s project-based business. You will work closely with customers, factories, suppliers project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered successfully, meeting quality standards and customer requirements. The project engineer will bridge the gap between design and execution.
The role coordinates efforts among various teams to achieve project goals and is crucial to maintaining the company’s market position as a leader in project management and execution of valving solutions. This role is based full time in their Perth office.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with WA Manager to provide a first-class experience for our customers.
· Interpret, asses, prepare and submit project offers to customers.
· Prepare project order / contract requirements for ERP entry
· Coordinate project activities, resources, and schedules, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
· Procure materials, equipment, and services required for project execution, soliciting bids, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
· Conduct site visits if required to identify issues, to ensure products fulfill requirements and are fit for intended purpose.
· Monitor project costs, expenditures, and budgets.
· Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to address project requirements and resolve issues.
· Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, Inspection and test plans, NDT requirements, IOM’s for completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
· Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to stakeholders, preparing progress reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
· Implement project management methodologies and best practices.
· Manage project risks, issues, and changes, identifying potential impacts, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating adjustments to project plans as necessary.
· Ensure completion of project deliverables, close out projects, and conduct post-project evaluations to assess lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement.
To be successful, you will have:
· 2 - 4 years’ experience in a project role (as a Project Engineer or Project Co-ordinator) within an industrial products provider.
· Basic experience with AutoCAD
· Experience and/or exposure to Water or Mining would be well regarded.
· Experience with engineering documentation and the ability to quickly navigate drawings and specifications and derive requirements.
· Technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, practices, and methodologies relevant to the project scope.
· Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, resources, and schedules to achieve project objectives.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
· Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyse issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
