Tungsten Mining are seeking an experienced Area Manager - Water Resources & Infrastructure to lead the planning, development, and long-term management of water resources and water infrastructure across these strategically significant projects. Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, this senior leadership role will be responsible for delivering a sustainable and reliable water supply strategy while overseeing key water infrastructure projects from concept and feasibility through to construction, commissioning, and operational management. You will serve as the Owner's Representative for all water-related workstreams and play a critical role in supporting project success and future operational readiness.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following. Develop and implement project-wide water strategies.
Lead groundwater resource development and hydrogeological investigations.
Manage bore field development, water treatment systems, pipelines, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.
Oversee consultants, contractors, and specialist service providers.
Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and performance.
Coordinate licensing and regulatory approvals.
Build strong relationships with regulators, Traditional Owners, landholders, and key stakeholders.
Develop life-of-mine water management and optimisation plans.
Support commercial, procurement, and contract management activities.
About
You
You are an experienced water resources professional with extensive project delivery experience in mining, infrastructure, or resource development environments. In addition, you will possess the following. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or similar.
Extensive experience within the mining industry.
Proven success delivering major water infrastructure projects in a management role.
Strong knowledge of groundwater development, water treatment, pipelines, and pumping systems.
Experience working within Western Australian regulatory frameworks.
