Network Engineer – Network Upgrade & Deployment Project

- Initial 14-week contract commencing 3rd August
- Opportunities available in Adelaide and Brisbane (1 position in each location)
- Supporting a large-scale network upgrade and deployment program across 15 sites
- Hands-on role covering site discovery, rack & stack, migrations, and cutover activities

About the Role
Green Light Worldwide is seeking 2 x Network Engineers to support a major network upgrade and deployment project across multiple sites.
This role combines site discovery, infrastructure deployment, migration activities, and post-cutover support, providing an excellent chance for engineers who enjoy hands-on project delivery work. The successful candidates will work closely with engineering teams, site contacts, and project stakeholders to ensure successful deployments and minimal disruption to business operations.

The positions are based in Adelaide and/or Brisbane, with local travel between sites required.

Responsibilities

Site Discovery

- Perform site assessments and infrastructure audits
- Validate existing network infrastructure and WAN services
- Confirm rack space, power, and cabling requirements
- Document current-state environments and site readiness requirements

Deployment Activities

- Perform rack & stack activities and hardware installation
- Patch and cable network equipment
- Support implementation, migrations, and cutover activities
- Coordinate deployment activities with local site contacts
- Execute deployment runbooks and implementation plans

Testing & Support

- Perform connectivity and service validation testing
- Support post-cutover verification activities
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Escalate technical issues to engineering teams where required

Requirements





- Experience supporting network deployment or infrastructure rollout projects
- Hands-on experience with rack & stack, cabling, and hardware installations
- Experience supporting migrations, cutovers, and implementation activities
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites and locations
- Willingness to participate in weekend deployments and after-hours cutovers
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and ability to travel locally between sites

Highly Regarded

- Experience performing site discovery and infrastructure audits
- Experience supporting enterprise network upgrades or refresh programs
- Exposure to WAN environments and branch infrastructure deployments
