Our client, a major Federal Government department responsible for defending Australia and its national interests, require the services of a Data Governance & Assurance Specialist.
Duties of the Data Governance & Assurance Specialist
- Support the organisation’s data governance & assurance activities;
- Data Governance & Artefact Development;
- Data Quality Assurance;
- Data Health Monitoring & Executive Reporting;
- Data Analysis & Visualisation;
- Stakeholder Engagement;
- Risk & Compliance.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau);
- Strong capability in producing executive-level reports and dashboards
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights;
- Understanding of data management concepts (metadata, lineage, lifecycle);
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK);
- Experience in data quality management, including rule design & monitoring
- Ability to develop and review governance artefacts
- Expertise in data visualisation and communicating insights clearly
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in data, analytics, IT, business, or related fields;
- DAMA CDMP (Certified Data Management Skilled).
