Screen Industry Careers Officer (0.6 FTE)

Help build the future of Western Australia's screen industry.

FutureNow is seeking a passionate Screen Industry Careers Officer with a good understanding of the Western Australian screen sector to help build awareness of careers across the industry and inspire the next generation of screen professionals.

Working alongside our Industry Development Manager, you'll develop career resources, deliver engaging presentations to secondary school students, and work with industry, government and training and education providers to strengthen workforce pathways across the sector.

The role supports delivery of initiatives arising from the Western Australian Screen Industry Workforce Development Implementation Plan.

About the role

In this role you will:

- Develop and maintain career information resources for the WA screen industry.

- Deliver engaging presentations and career awareness activities to secondary school students.

- Coordinate and deliver industry events, workforce development initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.

- Build productive relationships with industry, government and training and education providers.

- Support the Screen Industry Training and Education (SITE) Network.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

- Has a positive understanding of the Western Australian screen sector.

- Is a confident presenter who can engage and manage groups of secondary school students.

- Can coordinate and deliver events, presentations and stakeholder engagement activities.

- Can build productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities.

- Holds a current unrestricted driver's licence and has access to a reliable motor vehicle.

- Can obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.





About FutureNow

FutureNow is the Industry Training Council for Western Australia's creative and leisure industries. We work with industry, government and training and education providers to identify workforce development priorities and support a skilled, responsive workforce across the creative industries.

What we offer

- 0.6 FTE fixed-term position to 30th June 2028, with the possibility of extension.

Applications close COB Monday 20th July 2026. Please submit your current CV together with a cover letter of no more than three pages outlining how your skills, knowledge and experience address the following selection criteria:

- Demonstrated experience delivering presentations, workshops, information sessions or public engagement activities to a range of audiences including secondary school students.

- Knowledge of the Western Australian screen industry, including career pathways, workforce issues and industry structures.

- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, industry development, workforce development or a related field.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations and stakeholder communications.

- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with industry, government and education stakeholders.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines.

- Ability to work proactively, exercise sound judgement and contribute effectively within a small team environment.
