Project Manager – Security Fencing & Gate Projects

$120,000 – $150,000 + Super + Vehicle

About the role

Ideal Fencing and Gates are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in South Windsor, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and delivering projects within the construction and automation sector. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is integral to our operations and directly impacts our reputation and success in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities

1. Plan, initiate and manage all project phases from conception to completion, including scope definition, scheduling and resource allocation

2. Monitor project progress and performance against key metrics, timelines and budgets, implementing corrective actions as necessary

3. Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction

4. Manage project budgets, costs and financial reporting, ensuring expenditure remains within approved limits

5. Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans where appropriate

6. Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards

7. Manage site operations, including scheduling, health and safety protocols, and site supervision

8. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation,



reports and records

9. Prepare monthly progress claims

10. Compile monthly work in progress and cost to complete reports.

11. Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry, with demonstrated success in delivering projects of similar scope and complexity

2. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, best practices and relevant Australian building codes and regulations

3. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels

5. Proficiency in project management software and tools, including scheduling and budgeting applications

6. Sound financial acumen and experience with budget management and cost control

7. Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

8. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required

9. Formal qualifications in Project Management,



Construction Management or a related discipline are highly desirable

10. Experience within the automation or gate systems industry would be advantageous
