Our client is a well-established organisation based South of the River in Perth and is currently seeking an experienced Rates Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment and in part time hours. Free on-site parking is available, and there is potential for the assignment to be extended.
Your new role As a Rates Officer, your responsibilities will include: Processing rates, property and revenue-related transactions
Managing ratepayer enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face interactions Investigating and resolving rates and revenue discrepancies Assisting with debt recovery and outstanding rates collection processes
Maintaining accurate records and customer information within the rates system Reconciling payments and processing cash receipts What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a Rates Officer, Revenue Officer,
Accounts Receivable or similar finance-related role Experience working within Local Government and exposure to rates administration will be highly regarded. Strong customer service and communication skills
