The Opportunity
If you’re passionate about spatial data and energised by engaging with people on how this technology can transform operations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Due to internal growth, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to drive our newest offering, Processing as a Service. In this role, you’ll engage with clients to educate them on our in-house, world-class data processing capabilities and how they can unlock value from their data.
This solution is designed for organisations that capture their own data but don’t have the in-house expertise to transform it into a high-quality, usable dataset.
You will be responsible for:
- Identifying current business opportunities and educating potential customers that this service exists;
- Lead the promotion of the company’s approach, capabilities and resources through client contact and presentations, to develop and maintain relationships;
- Growing revenue and market presence by developing targeted sales strategies, increasing brand visibility, invitations to tender and securing new contract opportunities;
- Working closely with the Service Line Management and Commercial teams to ensure the smooth coordination of the estimation to the bidding process;
- Acting as the bridge between clients and technical specialists when non‑standard or additional services are requested, ensuring accurate assessment, pricing and delivery planning.
About You
We are looking for someone with a processing background, who can build rapport quickly and is able to listen to clients and understand their needs. A self-starter who works well autonomously, as well as collaboratively.
Your success in securing this role will require:
- A proactive approach to meeting with clients regularly to develop relationships and be front of mind for tender opportunities;
- Ability to translate technical requirements into scope and pricing, including understanding when a client request is standard vs. custom;
- Demonstrating problem-solving skills with a passion for technologies to understand different concepts and solve clients’ problems;
- Be available to travel regularly for client meetings;
- Experience working with LiDAR data, geospatial processing workflows, or comparable Processing as a Service environments would be highly regarded.
