We are currently seeking experienced Linux Infrastructure and Cyber Security professionals for exciting APS6 and EL1 opportunities within a large Federal Government environment.
These positions provide the chance to contribute to the security, resilience and operational capability of critical national ICT infrastructure, supporting complex enterprise platforms and cyber operations.
Successful candidates may be engaged through:
- Non-ongoing appointments of up to 12 months (with potential extension and ongoing opportunities)
- Section 26 transfer arrangements for current APS employees
Current Opportunities:
APS6 / EL1 Linux Team Leader: (NV1)
Lead a team responsible for the delivery, sustainment and continuous improvement of secure Linux platforms within a complex enterprise environment.
This role is suited to professionals with experience in:
- Enterprise Linux administration (preferably RHEL)
- Infrastructure automation and configuration management
- System hardening, patching and vulnerability management
- Operational leadership and team management
- Governance, controlled change and stakeholder engagement
- Secure platform operations within large ICT environments
- Experience with Australian Government security frameworks, automation pipelines and secure operational environments will be highly regarded.
EL1 Cyber Security Specialist / Team Lead Lead: (NV2)
Cyber security operations supporting the monitoring, detection and response to sophisticated cyber threats while providing technical leadership across a high-performing security team.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in:
- Security Operations Centre (SOC) environments
- Cyber incident response and remediation
- Threat hunting and detection engineering
- SIEM technologies including Splunk, Microsoft Defender or similar
- Security monitoring and cyber operations
- Leadership of technical cyber security teams
You'll play a key role in strengthening enterprise cyber capability while working across a fast-paced operational environment responding to evolving threats.

Eligibility:
