The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our OT team and drive service excellence across our metro and regional operations. This senior clinical leadership role allows you to shape service delivery while maintaining direct client contact.
You will work closely with Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to support participants with behaviours of concern, restrictive practices, complex psychosocial disability, and high support needs. Experience supporting participants involved in child protection, youth justice, corrective services, forensic settings, and other complex systems is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team leadership — Lead and mentor occupational therapists across metro and regional locations.
- Clinical supervision — Provide supervision and professional development guidance.
- Complex clinical work — Deliver high‑quality OT services to clients with complex needs.
- Multidisciplinary collaboration — Work with PBS practitioners, psychologists,
and support coordinators.
- Compliance — Ensure adherence to NDIS standards and AHPRA requirements.
- Service development — Contribute to quality improvement and service innovation.
- Regional support — Assist with regional office expansion and team scaling.
- Functional Capacity Assessments
- Complex NDIS report writing
- Assistive Technology assessments & recommendations
- Home Modification assessments & recommendations
- SIL, SDA & Home & Living assessments & recommendations
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- 3–5+ years clinical experience; leadership experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in the NDIS and disability sector, supporting participants with intellectual disability, autism, psychosocial disability, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, physical disability, and complex trauma
- Experience with behaviours of concern, justice involvement, child protection, and complex psychosocial presentations
- Strong understanding of NDIS service delivery
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel to regional locations
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD
