About the Sadleirs Resources Team

Sadleirs Resources (SR) is our specialist transport division supporting Australia’s energy rich mining and resources sectors. Primarily servicing the Pilbara region, we move critical freight across regional and remote locations where reliability, planning and safety matter.

The SR team is practical, responsive and built on trust. We understand that customers rely on us to keep sites operational, often to demanding schedules and in challenging environments. That means working together, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of the job from start to finish.

The Role: Freight Officer

As a Freight Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, handling, and processing of freight within our operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Receive, check and process incoming freight to ensure accuracy and quality

· Inspect goods for damage and resolve or report any discrepancies

· Label and record freight accurately within company and client systems

· Handle freight safely and operate equipment in line with procedures

· Maintain accurate freight documentation and records





· Conduct pre-start equipment checks and report issues

· Ensure compliant handling of dangerous and quarantine goods

· Coordinate with drivers and internal teams to support efficient freight movements

· Work collaboratively across teams and support operational needs

· Maintain housekeeping standards and follow safe manual handling practices

· Complete shipment paperwork, including dispatch and returns

· Contribute to a positive, safety-focused team culture

What you’ll need:

· Previous experience in freight, logistics, or a similar role (minimum 1 year preferred)

· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

· Good computer skills and experience using warehouse or logistics systems (e.g. ERP, WMS, RF scanners)

· Knowledge of manual handling practices and stock control processes

· Awareness of Dangerous Goods handling (preferred)

· Robust communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

· Ability to work independently and show initiative

· A positive, can-do attitude aligned with Sadleirs values and safety culture
