About the Role
Pope Packaging is an Australian manufacturer of paper, plastic and textile packaging products in a strong phase of growth. We're looking for two reliable Forklift Drivers / Storepersons to join our Papersacks warehouse team at Wingfield.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely movement of stock through our warehouse, picking, packing, loading and unloading, and keeping our production lines supplied without interruption. This role suits someone who takes pride in getting things right the first time, communicates clearly with the team, and can be trusted to manage their station with minimal oversight.
Hours: Main shifts schedule, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work if required
- Morning shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Afternoon shift: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- Night shift: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am
What You'll Be Doing
- Picking and consolidating deliveries from picking lists
- RF scanning
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers, checking goods against paperwork
- Accurately receiving and recording stock,
and putting deliveries away in the correct locations
- Strapping and wrapping pallets to required specifications
- Rotating paper and film stock to maintain first-in, first-out practices
- Servicing production areas to keep manufacturing running without interruption
- Completing stocktakes and accurate stock counts as required
- Carrying out a weekly forklift safety check at the start of each shift
What We're Looking For
- Current forklift licence (essential)
- Previous forklift / reach truck experience in a warehouse or stores setting
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including regular lifting, extended periods of standing, and safely operating a forklift throughout the shift
- Reliable, communicative, and comfortable working as part of a small team
- Flexibility to rotate across all shifts, including night shift, and to work occasional weekends as required
- Certificate III in Transport & Logistics (Warehousing and Storage) is well regarded but not essential
- Full and unrestricted Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available)
