We’re on the lookout for an experienced HRC Venue Manager to lead our Hospitality & Retail Centre and bring together everything that makes a visit to Beerenberg memorable. As the HRC Venue Manager, you’ll play a key role to drive the performance across café, retail, dairy, tourism and events. Working closely with the General Manager- HRC, you’ll oversee the operational direction, lead and develop a high-performing team, and ensure every guest experience reflects the quality, authenticity and excellence that Beerenberg is known for.

- You’ll run the show, taking daily accountability for the performance of our Hospitality & Retail Centre across café, retail, dairy, tourism and events, making sure every moving part works together like a well-oiled jam factory.
- You’ll grow excellent leaders, coaching and developing our HRC Managers and wider team, building capability, confidence and a culture where people love coming to work almost as much as our guests love visiting.
- You’ll keep guests at the heart of everything, ensuring every visitor leaves with a full tummy, a great experience and probably a few jars they didn’t plan on buying.
- You’ll make the numbers sing, leading budgets, labour, stock, suppliers and costs to deliver strong commercial results without compromising on quality or experience.




- You’ll keep standards sky-high, championing WHS, food safety and compliance so the site stays safe, audit-ready and operating as smoothly as our famous Strawberry Jam.
- You’ll turn big ideas into real results, partnering with the General Manager to bring business priorities to life, drive continuous improvement and keep finding smarter, better ways to do things.

Now, for your own ingredients list. You’ll be the right person for this role if you are:

- You've built your career in hospitality and want to keep the parts you love without the midnight finishes. Creating memorable customer experiences? Absolutely. Thriving during weekends and peak periods? No problem. Locking up at 1am? Not so much.

- An experienced hospitality, retail or tourism leader, with a proven track record (3+ years) running complex, customer-focused operations and delivering strong operational outcomes. A qualification in Hospitality, Business or a related field is a bonus, but hands-on leadership experience is what we’re looking for.
- A leader of leaders, with experience developing managers, building capability and creating high-performing, accountable teams, alongside a culture people genuinely want to be part of.
- Confident leading WHS, food safety and compliance requirements,



with experience implementing robust systems, managing risk and maintaining audit-ready operations.
- Commercially astute, with demonstrated success managing budgets, labour, stock and costs while balancing guest experience and business performance.
- Highly organised and calm under pressure, with experience leading peak trading periods, seasonal operations and events through effective planning and resource management.
- A strategic thinker and strong communicator, able to translate business priorities into practical action and build productive relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Passionate about creating memorable visitor experiences, ideally bringing leadership experience from hospitality, retail, tourism or visitor attractions, along with a genuine appreciation for great food, regional South Australia and all things Beerenberg.
