About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Team on a full-time basis at our Osborne Park production facility.
Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in ensuring our production equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably. From preventative maintenance through to breakdown response and continuous improvement projects, you will contribute directly to keeping our production operations running at their best.
This is a hands-on role offering variety, technical challenges and the opportunity to work with a wide range of up-to-date processing equipment as part of a collaborative and safety-focused maintenance team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance across plant and equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
- Maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes,
bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Completing fabrication and welding tasks where required.
- Supporting equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Working safely while complying with WHS, food safety and quality requirements.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- A recognised Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner or equivalent trade qualification.
- Experience maintaining industrial plant or manufacturing equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- Experience within food manufacturing or meat processing (highly regarded but not essential).
