The Traffic Control Designer & Assistant Works Coordinator is responsible for preparing compliant traffic management documentation, coordinating project requirements, and supporting the day-to-day scheduling and administration of works. The role ensures projects are planned efficiently, comply with all relevant legislation and client requirements, and are delivered safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), and Vehicle Movement Plans (VMPs).
· Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards, Austroads Guides, and relevant state authority requirements.
· Review client specifications and project documentation.
· Amend traffic control plans as required throughout project delivery.
· Liaise with clients, project managers, and authorities regarding traffic management requirements.
· Assist with scheduling crews, plant, equipment, and subcontractors.
· Coordinate permits, Road Occupancy Licences (ROLs), approvals, and notifications.
· Monitor project timelines and assist in resolving scheduling conflicts.
· Maintain project documentation and records.
· Prepare work packs and job documentation.
· Update project management systems and registers.
· Support procurement of materials and equipment as required.
· Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, client requirements, and company procedures.
