West Coast Trade Services is seeking a skilled Domestic Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team in Perth. This is a full-time position based in Perth WA 6000, offering the opportunity to work on diverse residential electrical projects and solar installations across the Perth metropolitan area. In this role, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality electrical services and renewable energy solutions to our valued domestic clients, playing a crucial part in our mission to provide expert trade services to the community.
Key responsibilities
1. Install, maintain and repair domestic electrical systems in accordance with current Australian electrical standards and regulations
1. Conduct electrical inspections and testing to identify faults, safety hazards and maintenance requirements
2. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing electrical installations, including switchboards, lighting, power outlets and wiring
3. Diagnose electrical problems and provide effective solutions to restore functionality
4. Liaise with clients to understand their requirements, provide quotations and explain work to be carried out
5. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used and time on site
6. Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practice standards at all times
7. Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
What we're looking for
1. A recognised electrical qualification, such as a Certificate III or IV in Electrotechnology or equivalent
2. Current electrical licence to work as a licensed electrician in Western Australia
3. Proven experience in domestic electrical work, including maintenance, repairs and new installations
4. Experience or demonstrated knowledge in solar photovoltaic system installation
5. Sound understanding of current Australian Electrical Safety Standards (AS/NZS 3000)
6. A current National Construction Induction Card (White Card)
7.
Working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements in Western Australia
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work methodically and safely
9. Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to customer service
10. Own reliable transport and willingness to travel throughout Perth and surrounding areas
11. Preferred: Experience with smart home systems, battery storage installations or commercial electrical work would be advantageous
