Part time Café All-Rounder / Barista

Employment Type: Part-Time (Approx. 20 hours per week)

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café All-Rounder / Barista to join our friendly team.

This is a varied role that involves much more than making great coffee. You'll be involved in all aspects of the café's daily operations, including customer service, beverage preparation, food service, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming workplace for our customers.

We're looking for someone who is confident, reliable, organised, and able to take initiative. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently when required and will take pride in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high standards throughout every shift.

Work Schedule

- Part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week)

- Rotating roster across Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

- Availability for morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts is essential

- Additional hours may be available during busy periods and to cover leave

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality espresso coffee and other hot beverages

- Prepare smoothies, milkshakes, and other cold drinks

- Greet customers, take orders, and process payments

- Deliver friendly and efficient customer service





- Assist with food preparation and serving

- Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organised kitchen and café

- Restock supplies and keep workstations clean and well presented

- Assist with opening and closing duties

- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards

- Work across all areas of the café to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous barista experience with the ability to produce consistently high-quality coffee

- Experience working in a café or hospitality environment

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- A positive, friendly, and professional attitude

- Strong organisational and time management skills

- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Confidence to work independently and use initiative

- A reliable, responsible, and punctual work ethic

- Availability to work Fridays through Mondays on a rotating roster
