Rhea Food + Wine is a new, exciting addition to the Northern Rivers dining scene. Located in the heart of Lennox Head, we’re building a restaurant that brings together exceptional local produce, modern European-inspired cooking, and a warm, welcoming wine-focused atmosphere.
We’re now seeking a talented and driven Head Chef to take full leadership of the kitchen.
About the role:
As Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for the entire kitchen operation — from menu development and supplier relationships to daily service, team leadership, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and consistency. You’ll help shape Rhea’s identity through seasonal, produce-driven dishes that reflect the best of the Northern Rivers.
Key requirements:
- Minimum 2 –5 years’ experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role
- Strong background in modern European or contemporary Australian cuisine
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and organisational skills
- Deep respect for seasonal, local ingredients
- Ability to manage costs, kitchen operations, and a high-volume service environment
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
