ABOUT THE ROLE:As the Leading Hand Arboriculture, you will play a vital role in supporting the Team Leader and team members with the daily delivery of programmed tree maintenance services across the region.
Within this role you will take responsibility for:Liaising with the Team Leader daily regarding matters associated with programmed works, scheduling, and improvements to operational proceduresCarrying out pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance to ensure the safe operation of plant and equipmentPlanting, pruning and removal of trees in streetscapes, parks, and reservesEWP operation for tree pruning and arboricultural maintenance activitiesReactive works including the removal of fallen or damaged trees following emergency
This position is primarily based out of the Wonthaggi Depot but will be required to work from various locations across the municipality. The standard full-time hours for this role are 7:00am - 4:00pm which includes one day off per fortnight.
A BIT ABOUT YOU:You have a passion for working outdoors and thrive in a team environment. You’ll also be a confident communicator who can work collaboratively with others and engage positively with the community, while maintaining a strong commitment to safe work practices.
You will hold a Certificate in Arboriculture (or relevant skills and experience), hold a traffic management ticket (or be willing to obtain) and a medium/heavy rigid truck licence, and possess a great work ethic and attitude.
