Responsibilities

- Develop effective strategies to manage client relationships, anticipate client needs, and provide superior service to position HSBC as the leader to its clients. Identify opportunities for referrals to other product partners in line with identified needs and HSBC’s risk appetite.
- Grow sustainable revenues through the targeted acquisition of new Corporate Banking customers, focusing on international client acquisition both locally and across the HSBC network.
- Structure credit facilities to ensure an optimum balance between customer and HSBC interests while remaining within prudent banking bounds.
- Maintain knowledge of external factors influencing international business (e.g., economic, cultural, geographical, political, procedural and regulatory).
- Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of deal and customer information on relevant Group systems.
- Establish a network with key players in the origination space and promote HSBC in the marketplace, including the provision of thought‑leadership content.

Qualifications

- Significant experience in Corporate Banking, with a demonstrated track record in strong corporate client management and current business acquisition.
- Deep market knowledge of the Australian corporate banking space and a strong network.
- Strong knowledge of product solutions, including trade and receivables finance and transactional banking.




- Ability to manage clients effectively on a global basis, with demonstrated experience managing complex clients internationally, both privately held and listed.
- Genuine customer service focus to build strong and lasting relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- In-depth analytical skills with a strong commercial orientation and a disciplined approach to maintaining credit quality.
- Strong non‑financial risk awareness, including an ability to proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks while adhering to mandatory policies and procedures.
- Experience managing clients in the food and beverage sector is preferred but not mandatory.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian or Recent Zealand PR/Citizenship, or who can show they currently have unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
