Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia and is looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Electrician.

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gain hands‑on experience on industry‑leading equipment, and develop the skills needed for a successful long‑term career in mining. You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship journey and will gain real‑world exposure across our mining operations.

Commencing in January 2027, Westgold offers multiple opportunities for both entry‑level and mature‑age apprentices to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance teams on a family‑friendly 8/6 roster.

What are we looking for in an apprentice?

- From diverse backgrounds that have digital and numerical literacy awareness
- With developed fine motor skills for using essential tools
- With analytical and creative thinking skills
- With an agile and versatile approach to life and learning
- Who are motivated, self‑aware and curious
- That have an affinity for understanding how things work and wanting to solve problems

Essential attributes:

- The right to work in Australia
- Current C‑Class driver’s licence
- National Police Clearance

Additional desirable attributes:





- Pre‑trade qualifications in mechanical engineering, automotive or electrical
- Work experience in mechanical engineering, automotive, electrical or trade assisting
- Mathematics and/or physics at senior high school
