About the role

As an Irrigation Pump Fitter, you will be servicing, repairing or assembling irrigation pumps in the workshop with some time in the field. The job involves working on turbine and centrifugal pumps, angle drive gearboxes and repair or assembling column sections. At times you may need to communicate with clients. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with overtime required at peak times.

Duties relevant to the above role

· Service, troubleshoot, assemble pumps, gearboxes and column parts in the workshop and in the field

· Determine required replacement parts for repairs

· Assist with parts ordering and replenishment

Skills relevant to the above role

· Ideally have a mechanical fitting trade certificate

· Practical experience with pumps or irrigation systems would be highly regarded

· Sound written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to interpret drawings and parts diagrams

This is an opportunity to join a thriving family owned and operated business, well known for the supply and installation of irrigation systems to the agricultural sector as well as engineering. The Directors are very much hands on and work with staff on a daily basis.
