Recovery Worker – Community Living Support (CLS)

Coffs Harbour

Community Living Support (CLS) is a NSW Government-funded initiative providing individually tailored, person-led psychosocial support to people aged 16 years and over who experience severe mental health challenges.

Working within a recovery-oriented framework, CLS supports people to build skills, strengthen social connections and achieve their personal goals through practical, flexible and community-based support.

About the Chance

As a Recovery Worker, you will walk alongside participants as they identify their strengths, aspirations and goals. You will provide practical, hands-on support that assists people to build confidence, develop self-management skills and connect with their communities.

Working as part of an integrated team, you will help ensure participants receive consistent, high-quality support while maintaining accurate records and documentation that contribute to positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Support participants to develop and work towards their recovery goals and aspirations.

Provide practical, strengths-based support that promotes independence and wellbeing.

Foster connections with families,



communities and natural support networks.

Complete recovery plans, assessments, file notes and program documentation.

Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated support.

Travel across the region to meet participant needs

About You

You will be passionate about supporting people experiencing mental health challenges and committed to person-led, recovery-focused practice.

Provide practical, strengths-based support tailored to individual goals and needs and facilitate programs and promote hope, recovery and self-determination. You will work collaboratively with participants, families, communities and partner services.

You will also need

Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Peer Work or Certificate 4 in Community Services, or be enrolled in and actively working toward completing one of these qualifications

100 points of identification

International Police (if required)

Working with Children Check - Blue Card

NDIS Workers Screening Check
