Exercise Scientist / Pre-employment Health Screening Officer – Mobile (All Clinics)

The Opportunity

This is a unique position within our Company to grow your career as an Exercise Scientist as we seek to employ a full-time relief Exercise Scientist/Pre-employment Health Screening Officer to work at all of our metro and rural clinics in Western Australia.

Our clinics are located in Welshpool, West Perth, Balcatta, Rockingham, Bunbury, Kalgoorlie and Newman.

The successful candidate will be fully trained in all aspects of health screening and will enjoy the perks of working with different multi-disciplined teams and travelling throughout the metro and rural areas of Western Australia in order to ensure continuity of services to our clients.

About the role

The duties and responsibilities of the role include:

- Occupational Health Technician scope of work

- Pre-employment medical assessments

- Functional assessments





- Drug and alcohol screening

- Audiometry

- Spirometry

- From time to time there will also be other occupational and health projects undertaken such as health and wellness projects and injury prevention activities.

What we’re looking for

You will need to possess the following:

- Bachelor of Health Science (Sport and Exercise Science) or equivalent

- Accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Scientist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)

- HLTAID009; HLTAID010 & HLTAID011 First Aid Certificates

- Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue)

- Drivers Licence

- Reliable Motor Vehicle

Desirable experience includes:

- HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing certificate

- Initial Spirometry Certificate

- Experience in occupational health screening

- Experience conducting basic medical assessments and physical testing
