The Role
We are looking for a proactive, high-energy individual to join our team in the role of Purchasing Officer. This is a pivotal, supportive role to Procurement and internal stakeholders. We aren’t just looking for someone to process paperwork; we need a superstar who understands the importance of accurate purchasing, stock management and the “why” behind the process.
You’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly, but your friendly, can-do attitude never wavers. By providing a high level of service and sticking to our best-practice standards, you’ll be a key player in helping us remain the industry leader in WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently raise purchase orders for specific demand requirements and expediting orders as required.
- Manage backorder tracking and ensure transparency across our departments regarding delivery delays.
- Co-ordinate bi-weekly stone deliveries.
- Accurately receive goods into Jobman (training provided)
- Accurately maintain our warehouse database.
- Assist in monitoring supplier non-conformance.
- Communicate with suppliers about stock issues and backorders.
- General admin support to Procurement & Stores team.
About You
You are a proactive, supportive professional who takes pride in keeping data accurate and the supply chain moving.
Required Experience & Attributes:
- Proficient in Excel & Microsoft Outlook.
- Highly organised and results-focused, with the ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional, diverse team.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
