Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) is a gold mineral exploration company with three gold projects in tier 1 mining jurisdictions of Western Australia. The Company’s assets include the Mandilla Gold Project, the Feysville Gold Project, and the Spargoville Gold Project.
Astral’s flagship Mandilla Gold Project is 100% owned and currently hosts a mineral resource of 1.43 million ounces (Moz) of contained gold. The Company’s other key projects include, the 100% owned Feysville Gold Project which hosts an MRE of 5.0Mt at 1.2g/t gold for 196 koz of contained gold and the Spargoville Gold Project which hosts an MRE of 3Mt at 1.4g/t for 139 koz of contained gold, both with solid potential to act as high-grade satellite ore sources for Mandilla.
Position Overview
As Senior Exploration Geologist, you will lead and inspire a high performing team of geologists, driving Astral’s next phase of discovery across its highly prospective gold portfolio.
This role is central to the design and execution of exploration strategies,
from target generation to drilling, interpretation and resource growth.
Responsibilities
· Manage and supervise drill programs across multiple projects.
· Geological mapping, sampling and data interpretation.
· Lead onsite exploration team and contractors.
· Mentoring development of technical skills and competencies within team.
· Deliver clear and accurate technical reporting.
Qualifications:
· Tertiary qualifications in Geology.
· Extensive experience in gold exploration, preferable within WA.
· Strong technical background in geochemical, geological interpretation and drill program design.
· Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring exploration teams and managing contractors.
· Strong communication and leadership skills.
