The Role

Inland Mechanical Pty Ltd is seeking a highly competent Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team based in Naval Base, WA.

This is a full-time, hands-on role working across a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, while managing your own jobs from start to finish.

⚠️ This position is strictly for WA-based candidates (Perth preferred). Interstate and overseas applications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and associated systems

- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance across a varied fleet

- Accurately diagnose faults and resolve issues efficiently

- Complete clear and accurate job reports and documentation

- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail

- Communicate effectively with team members and management

- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

- Australian recognised Trade Qualification (Heavy Diesel / HV Mechanic or similar)

- Minimum 2+ years post trade experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair





- Strong diagnostic ability – able to fault find without relying on constant supervision

- Experience across a range of heavy vehicles and diesel equipment

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work

- Reliable, punctual, and consistent

- Strong communication skills and professional attitude

- Current Driver’s Licence
