IronMerge is currently seeking experienced Shotfirers for FIFO opportunities across 8/6 or 2/1 rosters at established WA gold mining operations. These roles are suited to safety-focused drill and blast professionals with proven open pit mining experience and a strong understanding of blasting procedures, compliance and production targets.
About the role
You will support drill and blast activities across open pit gold mining operations, ensuring blasting work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with site procedures. You will work closely with drillers, supervisors and production teams to assist with blast preparation, explosives handling, tie-ins, blast execution and post-blast inspections.

To be considered, you will need:
- Previous shotfiring experience in open pit mining
- Current Shotfirer Licence
- Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
- Strong understanding of drill and blast safety procedures
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
- Availability to FIFO from Perth
Important information
Candidates travelling from interstate will be required to cover their own travel to Perth, as client flights are provided from Perth only.
