Picture this: you're acquitting this quarter's government funding when you spot a discrepancy. Left unchecked, it could mean one of our clients misses out on services they're entitled to. You dig in, fix it, and quietly make sure every senior gets exactly what their care package promises. Nobody sees it happen. But because of you, the care keeps flowing. That's what being our Financial Accountant is all about.

At Murray Mallee Aged Care Group (MMACG), we know that behind every dignified moment of care is a finance team making sure the numbers add up. Based in our Adelaide office, you'll be the guardian of our financial integrity, keeping us compliant, accountable and audit-ready, so our frontline teams can focus on what matters most: our clients.

Your Day as a Financial Accountant Will Include:

- Preparing financial reports – Compile accurate, audit-ready quarterly and annual reports that keep us compliant with the Aged Care Act 2024 and Financial and Prudential Standards.

- Building financial models – Develop forecasts and scenario plans that help the Finance Manager and CEO make confident decisions.

- Managing budgets – Partner with the Finance Manager to develop and monitor budgets across the organisation.

- Producing management accounts – Complete month-end reconciliations, journals and reports for a clear view of financial performance.

- Leading audit preparation – Prepare year-end working papers and support the external audit process.

- Acquitting government funding – Record and reconcile grants and recurrent funding in line with strict government and audit requirements.

What We're Looking For:

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.

- Demonstrated experience in budgeting,



financial modelling and statutory financial reporting.

- Experience in aged care financial reporting (desirable).

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including building and maintaining financial models.

- Proficiency in MYOB or comparable accounting software.

- Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and financial compliance obligations.

- Current SA driver's licence and National Police Certificate.
