We’re seeking Casual Animal Studies Teachers to support delivery across our East Geelong campus (with flexibility to travel to Wyndham). Whether you're an experienced educator or an industry professional who has just completed the Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE) this is an opportunity to contribute in a flexible, meaningful way.

This is a casual, as needed opportunity - You’ll step in to support delivery, keep students engaged, and ensure learning doesn’t miss a beat.

In this role you will:

- Deliver engaging classroom and practical training across Certificate II, III and/or IV Animal Studies
- Bring real world animal care experience into the classroom
- Support students to build practical skills, confidence and industry readiness
- Contribute to a collaborative teaching environment focused on student success

About You:

You’re passionate about animals, naturally engaging and thrive on sharing your expertise with others.

- Qualification in Animal Care,



Veterinary Nursing, or related field (Certificate II, III or IV)
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) required
- Teaching experience is advantageous, however not essential—we welcome industry professionals who have recently completed their TAE
- Hands on industry experience including vet clinics, animal boarding, grooming, shelters or zoos
- Strong understanding of animal wellbeing, behaviour and care across species
- A confident communicator who can connect with diverse learners

Salary Range:

Casual Teacher L1 | $91.42 (teaching) and $62.14 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification

Casual Teacher L2 | $95.01 (teaching) and $64.58 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification

Casual Teacher L3 | $98.77 (teaching) and $67.10 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification





Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
