About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our Information Technology Department on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will monitor, detect, analyse and respond to security threats focusing on real-time detecting, incident response and continuous improvement of security on a global scale.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing security policies and protocols

• Performing regular vulnerability checks and penetration tests

• Monitoring networks for suspicious activities and investigating security incidents

• Analyse logs, SIEM, and network traffic for anomalies

• Priorities and remediate identified risks and weaknesses

• Conduct risk assessments on systems, applications, and infrastructure

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining and monitoring firewalls, antivirus software, encryption tools, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM

• Collaborating with other departments to ensure appropriate security practices are in place across the organisation

• Conducting training sessions to raise awareness about cybersecurity risks among employees





• Staying up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats

• Responding to security breaches and writing post-incident reports

• Produce incident reports, dashboards and SOC metrics

• Provide actionable insights to stakeholders and management

What you bring?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field

• 5+ years’ experience in a front-line hands-on cybersecurity role

• Proficiency with firewalls, encryption technologies and security frameworks like ISO 27001 and ISO 27002

• Experience with vulnerability assessments and threat modelling

• Experience with SIEM platforms and EDR/XDR tools.

• Certifications in cybersecurity and related subjects are often preferred

• Robust understanding of computer networks, systems architecture and protocols

• Analytical mindset with the ability to handle complex problems under pressure

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different teams and departments

• Willingness to sign confidentiality agreement and protect trade secrets
