Z&M; FOODS PTY LTD (Mary’s Bao and Dumplings) is seeking dedicated FULL-TIME Kitchenhands to join our team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, organise ingredients, and support the cooking team during busy service periods. You will also ensure all kitchen equipment and workstations are kept hygienic and safe, in line with food safety standards.

Candidates with prior experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment will be highly regarded. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills while joining a team committed to delivering high-quality, authentic Chinese cuisine. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare ingredients daily – chop vegetables, portion meat fillings (pork, beef, prawn, chicken), and make dumpling wrappers for pan-fried and boiled dumplings. 2.



Assist cooks with frying, steaming, boiling, and pan-frying items, including spring rolls, wontons, dumplings, baos, and tempura prawns. 3. Plate and pack takeaway orders according to dockets – ensure correct portion sizes (8pc/12pc dumplings), cooking methods, and sauce inclusions.

4. Stock and rotate fridge and dry storage supplies – monitor fresh produce, frozen dumplings, noodles, and beverage stock (cans, bottles, juices). 5. Set up kitchen stations before service and clean down thoroughly after closing – wash utensils, wipe benches, and maintain equipment. 6. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times – proper storage, temperature checks, and waste disposal.

7. Communicate with the kitchen team to confirm order readiness, especially during busy periods when pickup times may be delayed. Requirements: 1. AQF Certificate

I, or compulsory secondary education 2. Have at least two (2) years of full-time (38 hours per week) relevant work experience undertaken in the last five (5) years 3. Meticulous about cleanliness, portion control, and following standard procedures.
