We are seeking a motivated and capable Lawyer with 2-3+ years' post-admission experience to join our Litigation & Insolvency team in the Brisbane CBD.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding practice working on a broad range of litigation and insolvency matter including a number of high-value, complex matters for a diverse client base including business owners, developers, builders, accountants, and insolvency professionals.

You will work closely with, and learn under the mentorship of, two experienced and highly respected senior lawyers in a fast-paced environment where hard work, initiative and attention to detail are valued.

This is not a back-room role. It is suited to a lawyer who wants to be in the thick of the action, progress quality matters, deal directly with clients and external stakeholders, and develop in a rapid-paced environment where hard work and ability is recognised and rewarded.

The role

You will be involved in a broad range of litigation and insolvency matters, with responsibilities including:

- drafting court documents, including pleadings, affidavits, and other litigation material;




- briefing and liaising with counsel, including senior and junior counsel and several silks, with several matters listed for trial later this year;
- corresponding and meeting with clients, experts, opposing solicitors, the Court, and other stakeholders;
- understanding the business needs and the commercial side of litigation and negotiated settlements
- progressing, managing and strategising your own matters under the mentorship and supervision of experienced senior lawyers
- supporting senior lawyers on complex, high-stakes commercial disputes and insolvency matters.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- 2-3 years' + PQE in litigation, insolvency or commercial disputes;
- strong drafting skills and attention to detail;
- confidence in dealing with clients and external stakeholders;
- the ability to manage competing priorities in an agile practice;
- a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to develop and progress your career in litigation and insolvency.
