Drive priority cyber security uplift initiatives across a complex ICT setting, supporting Essential Eight implementation, cyber risk remediation and assurance evidence preparation. This opportunity is initially advertised as a contract role, with expressions of interest also welcomed from cyber security professionals open to future permanent opportunities.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Engagement Type: Contract opportunity, plus permanent expressions of interest
Contract Duration: 12 months with possible 2 x 12-month extensions
Security Clearance Requirement: Current NV1 clearance required
Essential Tasks:
- Analyse Essential Eight control requirements and assessment findings.
- Translate cyber risks and assurance outcomes into structured uplift activities.
- Support uplift backlogs, planning artefacts,
documentation and reporting.
- Engage stakeholders to clarify control intent, evidence needs and priorities.
Key Criteria:
- Experience or qualifications in cyber security, ICT, risk management or similar.
- Understanding of cyber security controls and assurance concepts.
- Experience supporting cyber or ICT initiatives through analysis or coordination.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts.
