General Manager - Property & Development (Brisbane based)

As the business continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an accomplished development executive to lead a significant development portfolio while helping shape the future direction of the organisation's development platform.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is far more than a traditional development management role. Leading a high‑performing team of development professionals, you will provide executive leadership across a significant portfolio of projects while influencing the broader strategic direction of the organisation's development function.

You will oversee projects across the full development lifecycle, from acquisition support, feasibility and planning through to design, construction and delivery, while ensuring strong commercial outcomes, effective governance and successful project execution.

Equally importantly, you will help optimise portfolio performance by challenging existing approaches, identifying opportunities to improve project yield and commercial returns, introducing innovative development solutions and supporting the organisation's long‑term growth strategy.

Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team,



you will play a key role in shaping future investment decisions, development priorities and organisational capability.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading a significant portfolio of development projects from concept through to completion
- Driving commercial performance, project outcomes and investment returns
- Developing and executing development strategy across the portfolio
- Identifying opportunities to improve project efficiency, yield and long‑term value
- Providing strategic advice and commercial insight to the Executive Leadership Team
- Leading planning, approvals and stakeholder engagement activities
- Managing external consultants, contractors and development partners
- Driving innovation across development delivery, construction methodologies and built form
- Overseeing governance, budgets, risk management and project performance
- Building, mentoring and leading a high‑performing development team
- Supporting future growth opportunities and strategic expansion initiatives

About You

You are an accomplished property development executive with a proven track record of leading complex development portfolios within sophisticated property, development, infrastructure or investment environments. You have successfully delivered major projects from concept through to completion while balancing commercial performance,



stakeholder expectations and delivery excellence. Importantly, you think beyond individual projects.

You enjoy improving businesses as much as delivering developments. You are comfortable challenging assumptions, reviewing masterplans and feasibilities, identifying opportunities to optimise yield, improving commercial outcomes and driving innovation across development delivery.

Commercially astute and strategically minded, you operate confidently at both executive and operational levels. You are equally comfortable contributing to strategic discussions with the Executive Leadership Team as you are working alongside project teams to solve complex development challenges.

You are recognised as a collaborative and influential leader who builds trusted relationships, develops high‑performing teams and creates a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and innovation.

While your experience may have been gained across a range of sectors, backgrounds in property development, retirement living, residential communities, land lease communities, master‑planned communities, mixed‑use developments, infrastructure or other large‑scale development environments will be highly regarded.
