About the role

Moore Mechanical Servicing is seeking a skilled LV Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis at our Butler, WA 6036 location. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing light vehicles to the highest standards. As an LV Mechanic, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery, ensuring that every vehicle that leaves our workshop is in optimal condition. This position is integral to maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction within the automotive trades industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Diagnosing mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge

2. Performing routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups, belt inspections ect

3. Repairing and replacing engine components, transmission systems, brake systems and suspension components

4. Conducting vehicle safety inspections and identifying areas requiring attention

5. Preparing accurate work quotes and communicating findings to customers in a clear and professional manner

6. Documenting all work completed in service records and maintaining detailed job notes

7. Adhering to all health and safety regulations and workshop protocols

8. Contributing to a positive workshop environment and supporting team members when required

What we're looking for

1. Current LV (Light Vehicle) Mechanic qualification or equivalent automotive trade certification

2. Proven experience as an LV Mechanic, ideally within a similar servicing environment

3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify mechanical issues efficiently

4. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools

5. Knowledge of vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical systems

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

7. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to customers

8. A valid driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles

9. Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work in a workshop environment

10. Reliability, punctuality and a skilled approach to work
