This position is within the Wildlife and Threatened Species Operations, with the role focusing on research and monitoring of threatened species. The role involves wildlife management of cassowaries, crocodiles, as well as other native wildlife in far north Queensland.
The position requires specialist skills in identification, handling, measuring and data recording of native wildlife, specifically threatened species. The activities can be physically demanding and include survey and monitoring of threatened species in the field, emergency wildlife response, maintenance of field equipment and safety systems, and education and training.
