Demeter Cormack Pty Ltd (also known as Demeter Grains) is one of the top exporters of Australian grains, pulses and oilseeds and specialize in the sourcing, processing, packing and exporting based in Hope Valley. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the export documentation team.
What you’ll be doing:
Your responsibilities will include:
· Prepare, review and lodge mandatory export documentation within required deadline starting from containers packing through to shipment completion.
· Coordinate documentation requirements with customers, internal teams, and external providers (ex. Chamber of Commerce & Industry, shipping lines…etc) as well as payment requirement (ex. LC or collection)
· Lodge and submit Request for Permit via ImpexDocs to Exdoc and ensure cargo and documents meet the biosecurity and import country requirement in order to obtain phytosanitary Certificate
· Letters of Credit review and negotiation and documents presentation
· Monitor payment receivable and follow up
· Verify and approve freight and supplier invoices
· Ad-hoc duties
About You:
To be successful in your application you will ideally need to possess:
· Solid understanding of international trade documentation and Incoterms
· Understanding of Letter of Credit and documentary collection
· Experience in export documentation, shipping, logistics, or compliance roles (highly regarded)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· High attention to detail with strong data accuracy and organisational skills
· Strong communication skills with the ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously
· A proactive, solutions-focused approach
· Proven experience in grain exporting documentation is highly regarded
· You are requested to pass the ‘Completion of phytosanitary certificate’ training (training will be provided)
