Tecside is seeking experienced, trade-qualified Pipe Fitters for a major construction project in Karratha, WA, with start dates available from August 2026 onwards.

This is a full-time fixed-term project role, not casual shutdown work, offering long-term continuity, structured site conditions and the opportunity to work on one of Western Australia’s most significant industrial construction projects.

Project Ceres is a major urea plant development that will support Australia’s agricultural supply chain, domestic manufacturing capability and long-term industrial growth.

About the Role
We are seeking genuine site-based Pipe Fitters with strong construction experience across major industrial, oil and gas, LNG, mining, refinery or process plant environments.

The role will involve:

- Fabrication and installation of pipework across varying sizes
- Cutting, beveling, fitting and preparing pipe for installation
- Working from isometric drawings and project specifications
- Assembly and installation of pipe spools
- Installation of flanges, valves, supports and associated fittings
- Fit-up and preparation of pipework for welding
- Working with riggers and other trades to position and erect pipework
- Supporting safe, productive and high-quality construction execution

What We Are Looking For
To be competitive for this role,



you will need to clearly demonstrate:

- 5+ years’ hands-on experience as a Pipe Fitter
- Site-based industrial construction experience
- Strong pipe fabrication and installation experience
- Experience across a range of pipe sizes
- Carbon steel piping experience
- Experience with flanges, valves, supports and fittings
- Ability to read and work from isometric drawings
- Fit-up, beveling, alignment and spool assembly capability
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity

Highly Regarded Experience
Candidates will be highly regarded if they have experience in:

- LNG projects
- Oil and gas projects
- Refinery or process plant construction
- Major mining construction projects
- Brownfields or greenfields construction scopes
- Stainless steel or exotic materials
- Compressor hook-up piping
- Risers, flowline or similar high-spec piping scopes
- Torqueing, tensioning or flange management

Essential Requirements
Suitable candidates must hold:

- Relevant Fabrication Trade Certificate or equivalent trade qualification
- White Card / Construction Card
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- EWP / High Risk Work Licence
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening





This Role Is Best Suited To Candidates With

- Proven construction-based Pipe Fitter experience
- Major project experience
- A strong safety mindset
- Reliable availability from August 2026 onwards
- The ability to work well in a structured FIFO project environment
- A CV that clearly shows pipe sizes, materials, project names and site-based pipefitting duties

This Role Is Not Suited To Candidates Whose Experience Is Mainly

- Mechanical fitting with limited pipefitting exposure
- Workshop-only fabrication with no strong site installation history
- Maintenance-only flange work
- Plumbing rather than industrial pipefitting
- General boilermaking without clear pipe fabrication and installation experience
