The City of Fremantle is currently seeking to appoint Casual CCTV Operators to deliver an efficient and effective CCTV monitoring room service that meets the community needs and expectations and is in accordance with the City's corporate values.

Key Responsibilities

- Take computerized notes, gather and record quality evidence and prepare reports for court proceedings.

- Liaise with Police as and when required to provide concise information.

- Maintain regular contact with Community Safety Officers and the Team Leader about activity observed in the CCTV room.

- Respond to after-hours calls received from residents and use the City’s operating system to raise jobs.

- Use electronic surveillance equipment to monitor the CBD.

- Promptly attend and respond to all community safety related requests.

To be considered for this position, you will need

- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.

- Ability to use keyboards, computers and recording devices to gather quality evidence to be used in a court of law.





- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with limited supervision.

- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team setting.

- Ability to create and write objective reports.

- Computer literacy/keyboard skills.

- Knowledge of CCTV operating system.

- Knowledge of the State CCTV Strategy.

- Knowledge of the Surveillance Devices Act (1998) WA, Security and Related Activities (Control) Act (1996) WA and Freedom of Information Act (1992) WA.

- Experience in a similar service role.

- Be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement and understand what this agreement means.

- Western Australian open/unrestricted drivers licence.

- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check – 3 yearly renewal
