The Victoria Hotel in Toodyay is seeking a high-calibre Venue Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy hotel, bar and liquor store.

This is a full time position suited to an experienced hospitality professional who can take ownership of a well-known regional venue and drive strong standards across customer service, staff management, compliance and commercial performance.

About the role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the overall operation of the venue, including the hotel, bar and liquor store. You will be expected to lead from the front, manage staff effectively, maintain high service standards and ensure the venue operates efficiently and profitably.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing daily operations across the hotel, bar and liquor store

- Managing the venue’s profit and loss performance, including revenue, costs, margins, labour control and overall financial accountability

- Leading, training and supervising staff

- Ensuring excellent customer service across all areas of the venue

- Managing stock, ordering and supplier relationships





- Overseeing liquor licensing compliance and responsible service standards

- Maintaining presentation, cleanliness and operational standards

- Handling customer enquiries, complaints and venue issues professionally

The ideal applicant will have:

- A minimum of 5 years of previous experience managing a hotel, pub, bar or similar hospitality venue

- Strong leadership and people management skills

- Sound knowledge of bar operations and liquor retail

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- A hands-on approach and the ability to work in a busy regional venue

- Strong understanding of compliance, RSA and liquor licensing requirements

- Good commercial judgment and attention to detail
