The Manager Property oversees the effective and efficient delivery of the strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of all activities relating to Councils’ community and commercially occupied property and facilities.

Reporting to the General Manager Planning & Community, and assisted by a small team, key responsibilities include:

*Providing solid leadership to Council’s Property function and its staff, ensuring the effective implementation of strategic planning opportunities

*Managing Council’s Land, Property and facilities to agreed standards for quality, safety, risk, financial performance in particular relating to:

- Commercial and community leases and licences

- Internal accommodation

- Permits

- Strategic land management

- Leasing and licence negotiation

- Land and building valuation

- Venue and facility hire

- Recreation and sporting venue management





*Providing expert advice in relation to all land, property and facility matters as they pertain to Council’s operations

*Leading, overseeing, guiding and advising on the development of funding submissions related to community and recreational facilities and their activation and other non-infrastructure grants

*Developing, managing and monitoring contracts and agreements, and activating community and recreational assets

*Implementing, reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of Council’s funding agreements with key community development stakeholder groups

*Managing outcomes focussed strategic planning in relation to internal accommodation and maintenance, and community and commercial property assets

*Performance management of relevant contractors for best outcomes for Council’s facilities.

If you are a proven and agile leader with extensive and technical experience in diverse property and facilities management in a related sector, along with relevant tertiary qualifications, then this a role hard to pass by.
