Details: Are you an experienced Speech Pathologist with three or more years' experience working with young children and their families? Do you enjoy collaborating with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of infants and children? If so, we would love to hear from you.

The Child Development Service is seeking a passionate and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our supportive and dynamic team. In this role, you will work with infants, children and their families to deliver high-quality speech pathology and multidisciplinary services. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with an enthusiastic team of allied health professionals to develop and deliver health promotion initiatives, group programs and direct intervention services for children with developmental delays and their families.

This position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth, including the chance to develop specialised skills in infant and paediatric feeding. You will receive individualised supervision from an experienced Speech Pathologist and be supported to further develop your leadership capabilities through the supervision and mentoring of early-career Speech Pathologists and students.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- At least 3 years recent practice experience working with children and their carers and families as a speech pathologist
- Current Australian Driver’s license Class C is essential
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra
- As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, and capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.

Note: There are two temporary positions available immediately for up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency.

A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
