Australian Portable Toilets is seeking a driven, commercially minded Business Operations Manager to join our leadership team at our Pakenham headquarters.

This is a newly created role with significant scope to influence the future of our business. Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll help build the systems, processes and technology that support our continued growth, while playing a key role in strategic projects, operational improvement and future acquisitions.

Duties & responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day business administration and operations, maintaining company policies, procedures and compliance systems

- Coordinate purchasing, inventory control and stock transfers

- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and general financial administration

- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and HR administration, and prepare weekly payroll

- Provide executive support to the Managing Director and coordinate leadership meetings, executive travel and company events

- Liaise with external accountants, banks, lawyers, insurers and other professional advisers

- Manage the company's business software, digital systems and technology platforms

- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AI and continuous improvement

- Assist with strategic projects, acquisitions and business growth initiatives

Experience & qualifications:

- Tertiary degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline

- Minimum of five years' post-graduate experience in commercial accounting, finance or business management, preferably within a manufacturing or product-based business.

- Experience preparing payroll and supporting general accounting functions, along with HR administration and recruitment

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, methodical approach





- Strong familiarity with modern business software, with a genuine interest in business technology, digital systems and AI

- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities

- The initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and implement practical solutions

- A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business

- High levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion

- Competitive salary of $120,000–$140,000 + Super, based on experience
