Sakar Constructions is a commercial carpentry specialist delivering detail-critical work on a wide variety of some of South Australia's most recognisable projects, including the new RAA building, Monarto Safari Park Visitor Centre and major education campuses across Adelaide. Founded in 2015 by a commercial carpenter who came up on the tools, Sakar now runs a team of 20+ members and is hiring qualified carpenters on an ongoing basis, with immediate starts available.
The work
You'll join a reliable crew on well-run metro Adelaide sites, working to your strengths across:
- First and second fix commercial carpentry
- Door frames, doors and hardware
- Skirting, architraves and architectural mouldings
- External claddings and feature linings
- Joinery and solid timber work
- High-finish interior fit-outs
- Decking and external structures
A standard day
You arrive on site knowing where you're working, who with, and what needs doing. The site's set up properly, the leading hand has a plan, and the drawings make sense. The pace is steady.
Questions get answered, problems get talked through, and you knock off knowing the work is solid and you'll be back on the same site tomorrow.

- Above-award pay of $36–$52/hr, based on experience and responsibility

About you
- Trade-qualified carpenter (Cert III or higher)
- Construction Induction White Card
- Driver's licence and reliable transport
- Own tools required
- Confident reading and interpreting plans and drawings
Commercial experience is a strong plus, and we're equally open to carpenters building toward it.
