We're looking for an experienced Team Leader – Operations to lead our yard operations while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day work. The right candidate must help our continuous drive for Mission Zero – Zero Harm to our people, Zero Harm to the community and Zero Harm to the setting. Every job, every site & every load.

The Opportunity

This is a true hands-on leadership role reporting to the Operations Supervisor where you'll lead by example while ensuring our yard operations run safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

You'll supervise and support a team of forklift operators, wash bay attendants and yard hands, while working alongside them to deliver outstanding operational performance.

Your Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop the yard operations team.

- Coordinate daily yard activities and allocate resources.

- Ensure safe loading and unloading of linehaul trailers and containers.

- Operate forklifts to load, unload and move freight safely.





- Drive HR/HC vehicles between company facilities as required.

- Oversee trailer movements and yard organisation.

- Maintain a safe, clean and efficient workplace.

- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), WHS policies and ELX procedures.

- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and daily operational briefings.

- Monitor productivity, quality and operational performance.

- Assist with training and onboarding of new employees.

- Support the Operations Supervisor in achieving daily operational targets.

You need:

+ A current high risk work licence – LF

+ Experience operating 3.5 to 16 tonne forklifts

+ Experience leading a small team

+ Load Restraint knowledge and load distribution

+ A positive safety attitude

+ An ability to arrive to work on time
