IT Application Developer (Baseline or NV1 Required) L4

Clearance: Australian Citizen with Baseline or NV1
About this role
You will design, build, test and maintain application components that deliver measurable value to stakeholders. The role requires strong capability across modern software development practices, secure coding standards, and both predictive (plan‑driven) and adaptive (iterative/agile) delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, amend, verify, test and document new and updated software components.
- Apply agreed development and security standards, patterns and processes.
- Select and apply appropriate SDLC approaches (predictive or adaptive) based on project context.
- Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor complex programs, scripts and integration services.
- Troubleshoot defects, resolve production issues and respond to build/deployment failures.
- Resolve code,
integration and environment issues encountered during development and testing.
- Participate in reviews of own work and lead peer reviews to improve code quality and identify defects.
- Support release activities by diagnosing and resolving application issues, implementing fixes and coordinating with DevOps and testing teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3.5-5.5 years in software development across enterprise environments.
- Solid capability in designing and building secure, well‑engineered applications.
- Experience with troubleshooting across application, integration and environment layers.
- Familiarity with both predictive and adaptive delivery methodologies.
- Ability to lead code reviews and uplift engineering standards.
Eligibility
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
- Baseline or NV1 security clearance (mandatory)
