Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO)

Lead Strategic Projects That Shape the Future

Villaggio Sant' Antonio is seeking an experienced and commercially astute strategic leader to deliver a portfolio of high-impact projects that strengthen governance, regulatory compliance, financial performance and long-term organisational sustainability.

Reporting directly to the CEO and DCEO, you will lead complex strategic reviews and transformation initiatives across finance, governance, legislation, operational performance and business improvement. Working collaboratively with senior managers, the Board and external advisers, you will identify opportunities, manage organisational risk and deliver practical, evidence-based outcomes that support the future direction of the organisation.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced professional who enjoys solving complex organisational challenges, interpreting legislation, reviewing business performance and translating strategy into measurable organisational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Projects & Organisational Transformation

- Lead strategic projects that improve governance, organisational performance and long-term sustainability.

- Develop business cases, strategic reviews and recommendations that support informed decision-making.

- Drive business improvement initiatives, process optimisation and organisational transformation across multiple service areas.

- Monitor project delivery, outcomes and perks realisation.

Governance, Legislation & Risk

- Interpret Australian legislation, regulatory reforms and governance obligations relevant to the organisation.

- Review organisational governance frameworks, policies, internal controls and risk management processes.

- Identify compliance risks and develop practical recommendations that strengthen governance and organisational resilience.

- Prepare high-quality reports and strategic advice for the CEO, DCEO and Board.

Financial Performance & Commercial Analysis





- Review financial performance, budgeting, forecasting methodologies and commercial models.

- Assess labour costs, operational expenditure and funding assumptions to support long-term financial sustainability.

- Develop financial models and business cases that support strategic investment and organisational planning.

- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, efficiency and value for money.

Payroll Compliance & Industrial Relations

- Lead reviews of payroll governance, employment practices and industrial compliance.

- Assess compliance with the Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and other relevant legislation.

- Develop sustainable governance frameworks and remediation strategies where required.

- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external advisers to strengthen workforce governance.

Sector-Specific Strategic Reviews

- Lead strategic reviews relating to aged care funding, retirement living operations and regulatory compliance where applicable.

- Review accommodation funding arrangements, contractual obligations and associated governance processes.

- Identify opportunities to improve compliance, financial performance and operational effectiveness across service areas.

- Support organisational readiness for legislative reform and future sector changes.

About You

You are an experienced strategic leader with strong commercial, governance and analytical capability who enjoys leading complex projects within regulated or commercially sophisticated environments.

You will demonstrate:

- Proven experience leading strategic projects, business improvement or organisational transformation initiatives.

- Strong commercial,



financial and analytical capability.

- Experience interpreting Australian legislation, regulatory requirements or governance frameworks.

- Highly developed strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.

- Experience preparing high-quality reports, business cases and strategic recommendations for senior management and Boards.

- The ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across the organisation.

Experience within aged care, healthcare, government, consulting, professional services or another regulated industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will ideally possess:

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, Law, Economics, Health Administration or a related discipline.

- CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification (desirable).

- Qualifications in Governance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Project Management or Business Improvement (desirable).
