Head of Operations - Risk Insurance Advice

Legacy Risk Advice is a boutique advice firm specialising in personal risk insurance advice. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Operations & Practice Manager to help play a key leadership role in helping us scale the business while maintaining the high standards of service our clients expect.

This is a varied, hands‑on role that combines operational management, office leadership and business support. You'll work closely with the Managing Director to improve processes, support the team, maintain strong relationships with key contacts and help ensure we continue delivering a high standard of service to our clients.

Experience within the life insurance or financial advice industry is highly regarded.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the business, ensuring our systems, processes and people are well supported. You'll play an integral role in improving efficiency, driving projects and helping the business continue to evolve.

Key Responsibilities

- Operations & Practice Management: Lead day‑to‑day operations of the practice.
- Improve systems, workflows and business processes.
- Manage projects and operational initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs and reporting.
- Lead, support and mentor the team.
- Coordinate workload and resources.
- Business Support and Relationships: help manage insurer, licensee and referral relationships.
- Drive operational administration, commissions, reporting and key business processes.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives, referral engagement activities and client events.
- Compliance & Governance: support compliance with licensee and regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational risks and implement improvements.

About You





We're looking for someone who enjoys people leadership, improving processes and helping a business operate at its best. You'll be proactive, organised and comfortable working across multiple areas of the business.

- Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Practice Manager or Office Manager role.
- Experience within the life insurance, financial advice or broader financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of advice practices and operational workflows.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- The ability to identify process improvements and implement practical solutions.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supporting and developing staff.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- A hands‑on approach with the ability to work both strategically and operationally.
- Experience using Office 365 applications, SharePoint & Xplan.
